A Detailed (and honest) Snoo Review

A Detailed (and honest) Snoo Review

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that most of you have heard about the Snoo. It’s made it’s rounds through the social media world and many parents have raved about this “robo bassinet” claiming that the Snoo is what helped their baby sleep long stretches throughout the night. I have been keeping an eye on the Snoo ever since I heard about it a couple of years ago. Not only did it look beautiful but the fact that this bassinet could also rock your baby into a sweet slumber with it’s womb mimicking sounds and movement was enough to peak my interest. Once we found out we were having a baby, I went into full research mode to see if this extremely pricey bassinet would be worth forking over the money for.

The Newborn Products We Can’t Live Without

The Newborn Products We Can’t Live …

When I first started creating our baby registry, I had zero clue what to add to it beyond recommendations that friends and family gave me. Even with the recommendations, I now realize that a lot of the things I put on there serve the same or a similar purpose and almost felt like repeats of each other once Brady arrived. For example, Jonny and I bought the Happiest Baby Snoo to act as our bassinet because of all the rave reviews we read about it (more on this below). The Snoo comes with it’s own special swaddle that attaches to the bassinet to keep baby in place while he sleeps but I also registered for other swaddles/sleep suits (specifically the Magic Merlin Sleep Suit and the newborn swaddle that syncs with our Nanit baby monitor in Brady’s nursery) in the 0-3 month sizes that I will probably not use because he sleeps in the Snoo 99.9% of the time. I realize now that I was trying to cover our baby bases in case Brady didn’t like some of the things that we got for him, but hey, we ARE new parents over here.

Brady’s Nursery Reveal

Brady’s Nursery Reveal

When we first started envisioning Brady’s nursery room, we knew one thing for sure. We wanted it to be a gender neutral space. Even before we found out we were having a boy, we would’ve created the same type of space for a girl because we both really love a gender neutral feel for a baby’s room. We also knew that we didn’t want it to feel too “baby” and look more like another room in our home with a similar mid century modern vibe.

Brady’s Birth Story

Brady’s Birth Story

Brady, Brady, Brady. He came into our world on February 26th, weighing 8.5 pounds and measuring at 19 inches. We fell in love immediately and Jonny and I are living in a newborn dream. Jonny and I talked a lot about what we wanted our birth experience to be. We decided that we didn’t want to hire someone to take hospital photos because we wanted to be 100% in the moment as Brady entered our world. To be honest, I am so glad that we went this route because Jonny and I were able to experience every single second of Brady’s birth and we will never forget how special it felt. With that said, I wanted to break down Brady’s birth story because I found reading birth stories before our own birth to be very comforting and therapeutic, especially since I had never experienced something as profound and life changing as birth. I wanted to share ours with you, especially since our birth story was not exactly what I had envisioned.

Maelove Skincare AKA My new favorite skincare line

Maelove Skincare AKA My new favorite skincare …

Since I entered adulthood (no, not the “I just turned 18 and now I’m adult adulthood. I mean the adulthood when you can actually begin to afford the luxury skincare items you want instead of finding whatever is available at Target), I always thought that they more expensive the skincare item, the better it would work. I would actually scoff at lower priced skincare because how could they work just as well as the super expensive brands that I was spending hundreds of dollars on? I mean, weren’t those products expensive or inexpensive for a reason? Well, I was oh so wrong.
