FOUND: The Perfect NYE DRESS

Over the past five years or so, my NYE style priorities have changed pretty drastically. I’ve never been one to buy tickets to the coolest NYE party at the newest “it” spot in SF or run around the city drunk at 2:00 am. Honestly, I’ve always been more of a stay at home gal because A.) I rarely drink (the last time I was drunk, I was in college and it ended in a scary black out state which was NOT fun) and B.) I am an introverted home body. Don’t get me wrong, I love going out and having fun but I’ve just never been one to “party” until I’m passed out drunk, which pretty much sums up every NYE party in SF and everywhere. Also, let’s not forget it’s expensive AF. It’s just not worth it to me. Jonny is the same as me so it works out perfectly. Sure, I have always had fantasies of going out on NYE to the perfect party with the perfect group of friends and having the perfect kiss at midnight. There is something magical about it and I blame When Harry Met Sally for this particular fantasy (best NYE scene in a movie EVER). ANYWAYS, my family usually spends NYE together with my second family (hi, Faoro’s!) and it’s truly a blast. We go bowling then head back to the house to make dinner, chat, play games, and just hang out. It’s the best. Comfortable, cozy, and fun. Even though it’s a cozy time spent with family and close friends, I still like to dress up a bit because it IS NYE after all. When I found this dress at Reformation, I knew it would be the perfect dress for my ideal NYE because it’s special without feeling over done. I love the shimmery thread and the dress itself is SUPER comfortable, which is a huge plus for me. If you are going out out on NYE, I also think this would be the perfect dress for you. It’s sexy without screaming “LOOK AT MY CLEAVAGE.” Maybe I’ll wear this on NYE or maybe I’ll wear workout pants. It’s too early to tell.
