Outfit Details | Dress (H&M), Necklace (J Crew, similar), Ankle Boots (Zara, in stores), Clutch (Francesca’s, on sale!), Sunglasses (Karen Walker), Lipstick (YSL Glossy Stain #30), Earrings (J Crew Factory).

Let me start off by saying that I hardly ever wear anything that is form fitting because I am way too self-conscious about my body. I don’t really like showing off my body and tend to dress more modestly. I usually gravitate towards wearing things that are cut a little wider, like boxier tops, heavy sweaters, a-line midi skirts, well, you get the picture. However, I always love the look of a figure hugging dress and have been keeping my eyes open for any that I like.

I saw this dress and H & M and first fell in love with the color. I have been wanting to incorporate more green into my wardrobe and I especially liked the emerald tone of the dress. When I picked it up off the rack, I thought that the dress was cut rather well and also loved the exposed zipper up the back. Now, I love H & M but I don’t think I own one dress from them. Usually, they are WAY too short on me and hug me in place I would rather not let the world see. I hesitantly took this dress to the dressing room and kept telling myself that it probably wouldn’t fit well. However, when I put it on, I looked at myself in the mirror and actually said “wow” out loud to myself. The dress was not too short, but short enough for it to feel very different, and by that I mean sexy. I rarely ever describe myself or what I’m wearing as sexy, so this was quite a leap for me (#boldbrilliantbeautiful). Okay, so it felt sexy but still classy, and I have to be honest, I was kind sorta really digging that vibe. I scooped up this dress and brought it home with me.

I paired this dress with some edgier accessories, like my gold tassel necklace, my lucite clutch, and my furry ankle boots from Zara. I found that this dress doesn’t really need much to make it feel put together so I kept everything else pretty simple!

Thanks so much for reading!
