Valentine’s Day

Kate Spade Watch / Headband /  iPhone Case / Gloves / Pillow Cases / Instant Attraction Notecard Set / DCI Home Decor / J Crew Love Notes/ Chronicle Books Me Without You / J.Crew Ballet flats / Love Tokens / Nail Kit / Essie Nail Polish / Essie Nail Polish / The Cambridge Satchel Company / Pink Jumpsuit  I’m going to be honest with you. I love Valentine’s Day. I know that this is pretty typical of most girls and probably doesn’t qualify as a true secret, but still, I wanted to share it with you. As a kid/teen/adult, I have always dreamt of having a secret admirer. You know, someone who slips a love note that is perfectly written just for you into your locker while you’re in class and may or may not ever reveal him or herself? So much mystery! I think I just wanted to feel like, amongst all the other girls in my life, I was special. With that said, I believe that any gifts shown above are bound to make someone feel pretty special on the day dedicated to love. As most of you know, pink is probably my favorite color, much to my seven-year-old-pink-hating self’s disgust. Sorry, seven-year-old self. People change! So, when there is a “holiday” that revolves around love and the colors pink and red, I am so in! As much as I love Valentine’s Day, I always feel like I find cute little gifts way too late and end up not giving anything at all. In an attempt to save you from this same fate, I scoured the internet for some fun gifts that you can give to your gals for Galentine’s day or that you can show to your significant other as a not-so-subtle hint. I would love to receive any of the gifts shown above and have a feeling you might be feeling the same way. Happy shopping, friends!

His and Hers (Date Night).

Zara Blouse / River Island Pencil Skirt / Kate Spade Handbag / J Crew Scarf / Kate Spade iPhone Case/ J.Crew Boots / J.Crew Jacket / J.Crew Broken-in Chino / J.Crew Shirt / J.Crew iPhone Case / Kate Spade Necklace / Timex Watch   / Monroe Pumps /  J.Crew Socks  When it comes to date night, I always tend to dress up. At this point, no one is surprised by this, right? I love lace, sequins, shimmer, you name it. I also like throwing on a great pair of heels and rocking a statement lip color. Heck, it’s date night! Might as well get gussied up! Jonny is about as casual as they come. He likes to wear a casual button down shirt, jeans, and boots and call it a day.   For the “his” portion of today’s post, I took a little liberty on creating outfit because I know that Jonny would never wear burgundy chino pants in real life. A girl can dream, right? Men don’t realize how lucky they are when it comes to style. Button down shirts, t-shirts, and pants never go out of style so they can shop just about anywhere and still look amazing. For women, styles and cuts are constantly changing and, as many of you know (myself included), it can be hard to keep up. Unfortunately, women’s clothing is tricky because we tend to want good materials that fit us well and cost more money. Sigh. Anyways, who’s up for a date night?! It’s February now, so Jonny and I will be picking our new monthly restaurant to try. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
