Stripes Season

Outfit Details | Dress (c/o Sumissura and it’s custom made just for my measurements!), Shoes (Loeffler Randall), Purse (Chanel via Portero)

Welcome to the brand new Wannabe Fashion Blogger! My site developer and all around incredible human being Kaitlin Fontenot has been working with me over the last couple of months to create my dream site for this blog of mine. I have to admit, website stuff scares me. I understand that this sounds a little general, but really, tech stuff in on the whole, especially around website building, sounds like a foreign language to me so having someone as sweet as Kaitlin really made this process easy. Plus, she could take the gibberish that I e-mail her and turn it into something incredible. If you are looking for a website refresh or even a logo redesign, Kaitlin is your GIRL. She truly cares about her clients and will go to the ends of the earth for you. I know she did for me!

For the new WFB debut, I really wanted the outfit to embody me on an everyday basis. As a blogger, I always want to show you my style realities with a touch of fantasy because my blogging goal is to always inspire my audience to “wear outside the box.” I truly think this is an important part of who I am style-wise and I hope that you have found ways to gather inspiration from what I present to you each week. For me, “wearing outside the box” helps me find new looks/styles/trends to help me get out of style ruts, transition through seasons, etc. However, there are always going to be styles, prints, and silhouettes that I come back to time and again and a striped shirtdress is one of them.

I am very excited to be one of the first people to try out Sumissura’s custom-made dress line! You may remember when I styled a striped blazer that was made just for my body and was obsessed with not only the fit but the attention to detail as well. We aren’t talking cheap fabrics that sorta kinda fit you. These are high quality fabrics that are custom made just for YOU and your body. Being a tall gal (I’m almost 5’10”), I always have issues finding pieces that hit me just right. Waists typically hit me in an awkward place, hemlines are too short, and don’t even get me started on the sleeve length (always too short!). Having pieces custom made always seemed out of reach of me because A.) I’m lazy and like the instant gratification of buying off the rack and B.) It always seemed too expensive for me. However, Sumissura has completely changed my mind about custom clothing. Not only do they make the process SO easy and fun but you know that the pieces you receive are going to be fairly priced and of the highest quality. Take this dress for instance. I am a total stripes girl. I can never have and will never have enough stripes in my closet so creating a striped shirt dress just seemed right and the FIT. OMG, the FIT! This dress was actually made for me so when I say, it fits like it was made just for me, I can truly say it was! Is that not the coolest?!

If I were you, I would head to Sumissura’s website as fast as possible to check out their newest custom dress addition. They have so many styles and fabrics that you can’t go wrong. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out all of the their other options, too. I can personally vouch for the awesomeness that is Sumissura’s blazers. Just saying.

I hope you all love the new site design and thank you for your continued support over the years. It truly means the world to me!

Special thank you to Sumissura for sponsoring this blog post and Kaitlin Fontenot for being the most badass web developer that ever lived.
