The start of a new year always gets me feeling nostalgic yet hopeful for the possibilities that lie ahead. It’s an odd feeling that only comes on January 1st, so I try to experience these different types of feelings as much as I can before the hustle and bustle of reality sets in. 2014 was an amazing year for me and I’m looking forward to even more positive changes and learning experiences that 2015 will most certainly bring. One thing I didn’t do was make New Year’s Resolutions. Not even one! Maybe I should get on that.

This tulle skirt was one of the pieces that inspired me to start this blog just over a year ago. I feel like it represents my passion for personal style (inspired by Carrie Bradshaw, of course!) and the beauty that I like to find in the clothing that I choose to wear. In other news, it has been FREEZING in San Francisco lately. I know you East Coasters are shaking your heads at me right now, but really, it’s cold. I even sat in front of the heater last night in order to warm my shivering body. I am not being overdramatic. That actually happened. This ASOS sweater has been on major repeat for me lately and I love the pale shades of blue and grayish/blue paired together. Really, when are chunky knits ever a bad idea?

Have a wonderful weekend. See you Monday!

I luv the surprise of this combination! The delicate tulle and the bulky knit is not expected, but very flattering.
