An Afternoon At Jeffrey Palo Alto

“An afternoon shopping is an afternoon well spent.” A talented and brilliant person made up this quote and that person is ME. As someone who genuinely loves to shop, it’s hard not to get seduced by the convenience of online shopping. However, nothing beats going into a beautiful store that is not only filled with your favorite designer items, but also introduces you to the newest trends and designers you may not have ever heard of before.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I have been obsessed with the department store Jeffrey and this infatuation grew stronger when they opened their first Bay Area store in Palo Alto. I was giddy with excitement as Jeffrey makes you feel like you’ve entered a shopper’s paradise. Not only is the actual store beautiful on it’s own, but the pieces are displayed so perfectly that they resemble works of art. One thing that I love about Jeffrey is that their selection is expertly curated. I find that the pieces that are on display in their store (they do have a website, too!) feel very unique and special, almost as if they have been hand selected by someone who truly understands style. Oh wait, THEY HAVE! Jeffrey prides itself on curating their pieces so that things that you see in store are styles that you may not see else wear. Another thing I love about Jeffrey is that you can look at incredibly stunning designer items without any pressure from anyone and actually see these things in person. You can feel the buttery soft Gucci loafer leather and actually try one of Prada’s new season dresses. Living in a social media run world, we often see exquisite items on other people and we rarely get to experience these things in real life. Jeffrey brings the designers you love to YOU.

I have worked with Jeffrey Palo Alto in the past and I just love their entire team. They are kind, very well versed in all things style, and extremely helpful. Since I am going to Paris for the first time (I leave on Sunday!), I really wanted to bring a special piece with me to commemorate my first trip. I have been having a pretty hard time finding pieces that were not only special but also unique and fun so Jeffrey Palo Alto came to my rescue and invited me in to shop their newest collection. As a Gucci girl, it was hard to pull myself away from what I love. I feel that Gucci just gets my style (think cool girl mixed with street style mixed with unique but also still feminine with a bit of edge) and when I spotted this insane Gucci skirt, I just knew it was the special piece I had been looking for.

There was only one problem. The skirt was too small. I was able to get it up over my butt, which was a miracle in and of itself, but it would not zip up to the top. I panicked because I knew that this skirt would be perfect for Paris but luckily, my Jeffrey Palo Alto family (hi Margaret!) came to the rescue with alterations! To be honest, I was worried that the skirt wouldn’t fit me even with alterations but when I got the skirt back from the alterations team, my mind was BLOWN. The skirt fit perfectly.

I cannot wait to show you my beautiful Gucci skirt when I head to Paris, but for now, do yourself a favor and visit Jeffrey Palo Alto if you are in the Bay Area. You will not be disappointed!
