It should probably come as no surprise when I say I LOVE REFORMATION. I have grown quite fond of this brand over the past year or so and their pieces are what I gravitate toward the most. I love that each piece feels special and unique but also that their clothes are ethically made in small batches. When Reformation and Doen (another brand that I truly love) collaborated a few months ago, it was as if the heavens aligned and angels were singing just for me. This is basically my dream collab. Two of my favorite LA based designers coming together to create magic was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard...and then I laid eyes on this sweater. This sweater. The softest, most gorgeous, beautiful chunky knit sweater I have ever seen in my life. It's not itchy, it folds perfectly when you tuck it into your jeans, and it just screams "I'M COZY AF!" One of my favorite gals at Reformation SF (hi, Kate!) warned me that if I was going to try on this sweater, I better be prepared to buy it because it was THAT good. Not only was she not wrong (I bought it right out of the fitting room) but this sweater has become my favorite sweater in my closet.
I've been wanting to try this whole beret trend for a few months now but I could never bring myself to buy one. Don't ask me why! It's one of my weird quirks where I knew I wanted one but I just never pulled the trigger because I wasn't really sure a beret would suit me. Luckily, my sister, Ariana, bought one and was kind enough to lend it to me for this shoot. Long story short, I ended up LOVING how the beret completely elevated this outfit and made me feel so Parisian chic I could barely stand it. I mean, it's pretty much the easiest accessory EVER and you can wear it a few different ways (further back on your head, off to the side, or pulled down and worn straight like how I'm wearing it here). Even Shannon (my friend and photographer) commented on how this shoot made her want to buy a beret as well!
Living in the greatest city in the world means that I also have access to the coolest local boutiques. There is nothing I love more than finding a San Francisco store that not only has unique pieces to choose from but also truly cares about it's clientele. Today, I have the honor of introducing you to my new favorite SF boutique, Le Point, which is located on Valencia St in the Mission. Lucky for me, I am constantly walking the streets of the Mission, more specifically Valencia St, because there are so many amazing restaurants and boutiques to check out so I was incredibly excited to experience Le Point for myself. Located in a beautiful corner spot, Le Point's attention to interior details jumps out at you immediately. The millennial pink floor, the beautiful displayed shoes basked in the copious amount of natural light that pours into the front of the store, and the incredible selection of designer pieces (Tibi, GANNI, Opening Ceremony to name a few) are all reasons why Le Point has become one of my top shopping destination recommendations for everyone I know.
It's probably going to come as no surprise when I tell you how much I love wearing velvet during this time of year. Clearly, I've been having a mini love affair with velvet since last holiday season and I 100% blame Ulla Johnson for this obsession. Ulla Johnson's velvet pieces make my heart flutter each year because her attention to every single detail is unmatched. Take this velvet blouse for example. Not only is it velvet, which means my desire to make it my own will be very strong right off the bat, but the beautiful draping details on the sleeves and the topaz color are enough to stop anyone dead in their tracks. I mean, have you ever seen a more beautiful velvet top? Let me answer that for you. The answer is NO and you most likely need to add this piece to your wardrobe STAT.
