Have you ever tried a cropped jacket? I really love utilizing this style during the fall and winter, hell, I like wearing cropped jackets all year round now that I think of it, because I feel like cropped coats are tres chic! Since I'm a high waisted girl, I was stoked to find a pair of elastic waist pants that actually work with my baby bump AND are high waisted.

The key to finding non maternity pieces that will work when you're pregnant? STRETCH. AND LOTS OF IT. To be totally honest, I used to dread the thought of being pregnant and mainly for selfish reasons. I love clothes. I love buying clothes. I love styling clothes. So to think that my styling options were going to be limited with a baby bump, it kind of made me nervous. Also, I shuddered at the thought of wearing only maternity clothing. Who wants to be that constrained style wise!?

It probably shouldn't shock you that most Zara pieces run small. Over the years, their sizing has gotten much better but still not perfect by any means. ANYWAY, poor sizing doesn't stop me from shopping there and I love their trendy fall pieces. When I saw this denim boiler suit, I knew it was going to sell out quick and I was right. I was lucky enough to snag one in my size (yay!) and then I thought about how long I would realistically be able to wear it now that I am pregnant.

What's a fall loving girl to do when your beloved city doesn't like to show it's cooler weather temps until end of October and sometimes even November? Mix and match your summer pieces with your new fall ones, DUH! Seriously though, it's been so hot in SF and the Bay Area that it really feels like fall is nowhere in sight, even thought technically we just celebrated the first day of fall. I'm not going to lie, it's a huge bummer but hey, I'm rolling with it.

I'm not going to lie to you. Finding clothes that are not only on trend but also comfortable for an ever-expanding pregnant belly is not an easy task. After the initial excitement after I found out I was pregnant, I remember thinking to myself, "Crap. What am I going to wear?!" I experienced the lovely pregnancy bloat very early on in my pregnancy so I throughout the summer, I was always looking for pieces that were comfy but also cut to accommodate the bloat.
