When I first laid eyes on that gold silk top, I fell in LOVE with it. Not only is the gold the most perfect muted shade, but it literally looks like you're wearing liquid gold. While these are two reasons that pushed me to ultimately splurge on this top, the main reason I loved it so much was how easy it was to wear it. It honestly feels like you're wearing a t-shirt, it's THAT comfortable. I actually try to stay away from satin and silk tops because I didn't think they were very flattering on me. However, this one draped perfectly when tucked in, which is a MIRACLE, and it's just the right amount of oversized without swallowing me up completely.
If there's one fall trend that I never tire of, it's layering. Not only does it add an extra layer of fabulousness (yes, that IS a word in my book) to any outfit, but it keeps you warm or cool depending on the fickle fall temps. Ever since I started blogging, a lot of you have sent me messages asking for tips on how to successfully layer pieces in your wardrobe without feeling like you're wearing all your clothes at once (think back to that classic episode of Friends where Joey wore all Chandler's clothes at once to prove a point). Trust me, we've all been there. When it's cold in the morning and mild in the afternoon, layers really are the key to wearing your favorite cooler weather pieces all season.
Monday's always tend to be a moodier day for me and I'm quite positive I'm not alone in my "case of the Monday's" headspace at the start of the week. You're coming off a weekend with loads of time to yourself, you've treated yourself to one (or many) delicious foods, and had time with the people that you love. I mean, what's NOT to love about the weekend? An extra plus for me is that I get to wear fun items in my closet that may border on that "not safe for work" line, like these jeans. I absolutely love these jeans because they are ultra high waisted (YES) and because of the star on the booty. I have never seen another pair of jeans like this and love how unique this pair is. I usually try not to draw extra attention to my bootay because it's pretty much able to do that on it's own, but I'll make an exception for these jeans.
I am always on the hunt for fun blouses that are statement-esque but are still easy to wear. This is not always an easy combination because "statement" usually doesn't go with "easy" but in this case, this Zara blouse was a perfect piece to add to my fall wardrobe because I can literally wear it with everything. Y'all know that I am have a serious obsession with white and black (clearly I can't get enough of my black and white Gucci purse) so I knew this piece was coming home with me the moment I laid eyes on it. Also, are we DYING over this plaid bomber? This is actually my very first piece that I've bought from the WhoWhatWear collection at Target and I wear it ALL the time. It looks so cute layered over everything and I just cannot get enough.
I feel like there are always a bunch of trends that "make it big" each season, but for some reason, this fall and winter season coming up are home to so many trends that I am actually very into. Usually, there are only a couple trends that really get my attention and a lot that seem to grab my attention at first but then they quickly fade just as fast as they came onto the scene (remember that neon trend that hit a couple of years ago?). However, this season feels different. I am falling head over heels for ALL THE TRENDS. Plaid everything, experimenting with various shades of red, sock booties, and now marigold.
