Outfit Details | Top (Zara, similar), Scarf (Zara), Skirt (Zara), Purse (Ralph Lauren), Socks (old, similar), Shoes (See By Chloe, loving these), Sunglasses (Karen Walker), Earrings (Etsy), Lipstick (Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lipstick in Lamoreuse, c/o So Choix).

It’s no secret that Zara’s infamous plaid blanket scarf was in high demand last year. Even recently, I searched for it on eBay and still see prices ranging from $80-$150 FOR A SCARF. It’s always funny to me that there is one “hot” item that seems to make everyone crazy each season. I noticed that these items are usually more affordable and are from popular stores like Zara and H&M. I, too, have gotten wrapped up in the pandemonium of the “it” item. I stalked H&M scuba peplum tops, those Zara three strap black “witch” flats (I finally own these and they were worth every cent), and many more on eBay until I was blue in the face. You know what’s funny? All of those items have become staples in my closet. Yes, they were/are trendy, but I love them so much that they have lasted the test of style-time and many closet clean-outs.

This season, Zara was smart and came out with a whole line of blanket scarves in all different colors. While I loved the plaid ones from last year, I felt like I would have a hard time incorporating them into my wardrobe with all of the pink I own. Maybe I was just trying to convince myself that I didn’t want to spend an insane amount on an accessory that I could only find on eBay, but I have to say, I’m glad I didn’t buy one. I picked up this gorgeous cream and wine colored blanket scarf from this season’s Zara accessory line and absolutely understand the hype behind these oversized scarves. They are SO soft (not itchy at all, and I have very sensitive skin) and they really can double as a blanket. I also kinda love that this scarf doesn’t look like the plaid ones from last year. It’s different and so am I.

Definitely check out all of Zara’s scarves here. I would hurry before they are all sold out.

Thanks for stopping by!
