This Look Is Totally Me

Recently, one of my readers sent me an interesting message about how she feels that my content has become unrelatable because of my love of designer brands. I’m not going to lie, this took me by surprise. Ever since I started this blog, I have always prided myself on being 100% true to who I am and loving certain designers has always been a part of it. If you have been following me for awhile, I have always been in love with designer Ulla Johnson and she has always been a source of inspiration for me in this blog. Are her pieces more expensive than ASOS? Yep! Are her pieces impeccably made? Yes! Are her designs unique and unlike a lot of what is out there. 100%! I completely understand that not everyone can buy designer items. In fact, I actually have to stick to a pretty strict budget (thanks Jonny) so buying full price Ulla Johnson pieces is not always a reality for me and THAT’S OKAY! I am actually really good at waiting to find things that I love on sale so that I can make them work with my budget. Take this top for example. I waited until it went on sale and when I bought it, I was so excited to wear it. A few days later, I noticed that it went further on sale and guess what I did? I got a price adjustment. MORE MONEY SAVED! I understand that buying designer is not always a reality for people but in the spirit of staying true to who I am and what I love, I am going to continue to wear Ulla Johnson and all the other designers I love because that’s just who I am. I hope that can resonate with you but I also know that you follow me for inspiration, maybe I can still inspire you to wear outside your comfort zone and try something new!
