For my second look with Veronica Beard I just HAD to show you one of their incredible designs that they are famous for. Have you ever heard of a “dickey?” No, I swear I’m just not introducing you to a new dirty word. Veronica Beard is known for the dickeys and I’m here to tell you all about them!

Let me back up a bit. Before I left for NYFW, I had been perusing Veronica Beard’s website and loved their collection of blazers. However, Veronica Beard’s blazers are very unique and have a genius design feature that you are guaranteed to LOVE. What’s the genius design feature you ask? It’s the dickey! Veronica Beard recognizes that a blazer is essential to every woman’s wardrobe and that we wear them year round. Y’all know I’m super into layering (I am a San Francisco girl after all) but I HATE it when I wear a sweater or sweatshirt under my blazer and the arms feel way too tight due to the extra layer. Veronica Beard has entirely gotten rid of this problem with their dickeys. A dickey is a piece of fabric that is designed to look like you’re wearing a sweater or sweatshirt under your blazer WITHOUT adding that extra bulk. Veronica Beard’s dickey’s actually zip into the inside of their expertly designed blazers so you can look awesome without your jacket become to tight in the arms. Can I get a hallelujah!? This is honestly the best invention for us girls that wear blazers all the time.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Veronica Beard designs pieces with real women in mind and that makes me love these two fabulous designers even more than I already do.
