If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. I have been thinking nothing but fall thoughts (layering! pumpkins! holidays!) but San Francisco has other plans in mind, like 90*+ heat waves rolling throughout the city for about a week straight. Technically, I’m impinging on San Francisco’s true summer (Indian Summer as it’s known around these parts) and I’ve decided that I will still think fall thoughts but that I will embrace this weather while we got it.
Even though I’m not a fan of nights so hot that I can’t sleep (no one has air conditioning here because we never need it), I do love the golden hour light and days so warm that you don’t even need to bring a jacket with you everywhere you go (a rarity in SF!) so I’ve decided to ride out these heat waves with some of my favorite pieces from this summer, like this polka dot top that I picked up right before Jonny and I left for San Diego and these sandals that I bought right before summer began. They were quite the splurge for me but I have DEFINITELY gotten my money’s worth because I wear them almost everyday. I am in love with them. Plus, I get compliments on them wherever I go!
So, it looks like I’ll be rocking a few of my summer pieces for the next few weeks even though I’ll be shooting fall content coming up. Ah, the life of a blogger!
