If you follow me on Instagram (@wannabefashionblogger), you know that I have been a tad obsessed with a pair of American Eagle shorteralls that I bought a couple months ago. They were the perfect summer go-to item and I definitely wore them all the time (#sorryimnotsorry). Before I bought that pair, I didn’t really picture myself wearing overalls or shorteralls because I believed that they didn’t match my feminine and dressier sense of style. Oh, was I so utterly wrong. Once I clicked those American Eagle shorteralls into place, I knew I was hooked. Even Jonny, who does not like overalls in any color, length, or shape was surprised by how much he liked them.

Once the obsession really took flight, I knew that I had to buy a pair of full length overalls that I could wear during the fall and winter months (aka, year round in San Francisco). Of course, I headed straight to American Eagle since I was so pleasantly surprised by my first pair of shorteralls. The fit was amazing and the color of  my first pair was amazing so I had faith that my next pair would be just as fantastic. When I saw these overalls, which are on sale for $29 right now, I knew I had to have them. Honestly, the online picture does not do them justice. They are the PERFECT pair of overalls for my body. Since I’m 5’9″, the length of the torso and leg inseam were just right while the dark indigo wash and stretchy skinny jean look were exactly what I wanted. Dare I say I felt “chic” in overalls? I never thought I would hear myself uttering that phrase past 2001, but here I am, in the year 2014 declaring my love for overalls!
