Outfit Details | Coat (J Crew, still available on eBay), Sweatshirt (H&M, lettering done by yours truly!), Shirt (J Crew, similar), Skirt (J Crew), Socks (GAP, similar), Boots (J Crew, majorly craving these), Purse (Coach), Rings (Etsy), Lipstick (YSL Glossy Stain #30), Sunglasses (Karen Walker).

Some days, you just need a major dose of color. Today was one of those days. I know I’ve already raved about this perfect J Crew Bow Coat, but honestly, it literally brightens up every outfit I pair it with and always elevates my mood! I believe that every woman should own one statement coat that makes her feel incredibly confident when she wears it. For this outfit, I paired my beloved coat with a fairly preppy outfit, which has been one of my favorite styles ever since I fell in love with the movie Clueless. I mean, who didn’t idolize Cher Horowitz?!

You may have noticed in the outfit details that I created my own version of the ever popular Zoe Karssen “Creme de la Creme” sweatshirts that made quite a splash last year. While I loved Karssen’s creation, I just couldn’t bring myself to spend so much money on a sweatshirt, even though I knew I couldn’t live without it. After a major brainstorming sit-down with my sister, we decided that we would recreate the look for less. Even though it took almost the entire day, we were able to find a great grey sweatshirt at H&M (what would we do without H&M?!) and found iron-on letters at the local craft store. A couple hours and lots of repositioning later, we both walked away with two pretty great Creme de la Creme sweatshirts and we only spent about $25 for both. Now that’s what I call a fashion score!

Thanks for stopping by!

Looking good, my dear! Coincidentally, I have the same coat.
