Sadly, San Francisco has had very little rain over the past few months. While I’m not complaining about the nice weather that we’re having, I have definitely missed the rain. When I heard that we would be getting one day of rain, I couldn’t wait to get out there and have some fun with the boy, especially since it was going to happen on a Saturday! When the rain, well it was more like a heavy mist, began, I grabbed my Hunter goulashes and ran outside.

When it rains, people usually bundle up from head to toe to protect themselves from getting wet. However, it wasn’t all that cold on this rainy day so I figured I could dress lighter than I usually would. In an effort to create more casual outfits with my beloved Alexandra Grecco tulle skirt, I simply threw on my trusty denim jacket and wore it as a bulkier shirt. I love the look of the edginess of the denim and the bulkiness of the rain boots mixed with the softness of the tulle. It just screams fun to me, and boy was this such a fun blog shoot. We splashed around in puddles and enjoyed having the streets all to ourselves.

All in all, the outfit itself is actually pretty simple. No fancy jewelry, no high heels. But even it’s simplicity, this outfit still felt so special. It’s so exciting to change it up a little bit because it goes to show that your outfit can still be fun, even on a rainy day.

Thanks for stopping by!
