Lately, I’ve been obsessing over sheer clothing. No, not “I can see your everything” sheer. More like an unexpected sheer panel or a sheer cutout. When I first saw this jacket, I knew that I had to have it or something like it. The gorgeous floral print and sheer fabric had me at hello (yes, I just so happened to catch the tail end of “Jerry McGuire” the other night and that scene still makes me tear up). However, that price made me want to curl up in a little ball and call it a day. I knew that I couldn’t justify spending that much money on a sheer jacket, despite it’s infinite and so on trend beauty. I added it to my online shopping cart so I could keep an eye on it and count down until it went on sale. Alas, it did not go on sale and my yearning for it did not go away. Without hope, I googled “sheer floral jacket” and it happened to be my lucky day. I found a nearly identical (you be the judge) version for a significantly lower price. I was so excited, yet scared to see what the quality would be like. To my surprise it was even more amazing in person. I am SO happy, you guys.

That brings me to this white jumpsuit. I posted a selfie of myself in this jumpsuit last week on Instagram (follow me @wannabefashionblogger) to gather others’ opinions. I wasn’t sure if I liked it as it is a very different look for me. The culotte length, the shorts (eek), and the slightly looser fit are usually three things that I try to stay away from in fear that  they make me look wider. The opinions were pretty split on Instagram, but I have to say, there was something I loved about this jumpsuit and I decided to take a risk and keep it. I am SO glad that I did. Not only is it insanely comfortable (it’s ALL stretchy fabric), but I love the sheer sleeves/bodice and leg details. Also, I can so imagine wearing this as a chic coverup in Tahoe as well as a fun going-out outfit this summer.

This weekend, I am co-throwing my good friend’s baby shower. I am so excited to put it all together and promise to post pictures at all that I have been gathering for this event.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Love this little jacket. Although I am generally not too fond of the jumpsuit styling, this one looks fab on you.
