Friday’s are made for a little sparkle, wouldn’t you agree? The weekend is practically here, we can stay up a little later without worrying that we will be zombies at work the next day, and we have two whole days off! It doesn’t get much better, or sparklier, than that. My sister and I used to have this thing about dressing for Fridays. All week, we would save our very best and favorite outfit for that glorious day before the weekend. We weren’t really sure why we saved our best outfit for the last day of the school week. Did we want people to have a lasting memory of us in our coolest threads? Were we going out with people after school? Did we just plain feel like celebrating Friday with clothes that made us feel like the best versions of ourselves? I still don’t really know the answer, but I’m leaning more towards the last one. Even as adults, we find ourselves putting a little more effort into our Friday outfits. Whether it’s just adding a fancy necklace or wearing that new shirt that always looks amazing, Fridays make me feel special.
