Facing the reality of the work week is always so hard after a wonderful weekend, especially when that weekend is celebrating the Fourth of July. Honestly, I already feel nostalgic for the holiday weekend and I’m positive that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Even though we are through celebrating America’s birthday (*sob*), I am still incorporating reds, whites, and blues into pretty much every outfit.

This striped dress has been on the top of my “must buy” list ever since I saw it back in February. However, I pumped myself up to buy it too late because it unfortunately sold out everywhere. I figured it wasn’t meant to be until I was randomly checking Topshop’s “New Arrivals” and saw it pictured in all it’s stunning glory. It is literally the perfect dress. As a self-professed stripes addict, I fell in love with this navy and white striped beauty. However, while I loved the stripes, I was also drawn to the unique structure of this dress. Not only do I love that it smartly utilizes both horizontal and vertical stripes (genius!), but I just adore the weight of the beautiful fabric. It feels thick, but not stifling. Structured but not stiff. Honestly, all I want to do is wear this dress every single day. It’s that perfect. Since this dress runs a tad on the short side, I paired it with d’orsay flats and kept everything else really simple.

What did you all do over the holiday weekend? Feel free to share in the comment section below. I really enjoy reading each and every one of your comments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Having seen this dress on you just prior to the photo’s, I loved it then and the photo’s do both you and the dress justice. Luv it with the flats and any more jewelry would have detracted. Perfect as is! Btw, that was a great shot with the flowers in the foreground Jonny!

Hi Ashlee! Thank you so much. Stripes are such a staple in my wardrobe. I’m starting to wonder if a girl can have too many striped pieces of clothing…. 🙂

    Hi
Love the dress, you look so fab in it! Could I ask what size your wearing and if you think it’s TTS? Would love to order it but unsure of sizing.

    Thanks so much 🙂

Hi Corinne! Thanks for writing in! Isn’t it amazing? The one that I am wearing is actually their “petite” one and I sized up in that one. Usually in European brands like Topshop, I am an 8 but since I knew this one would be on the shorter size, I went with the size 10. It’s a touch roomy but I wanted the length! 🙂
