Summer Lovin’

Outfit Details | Dress (c/o Shop Amelia Styles, love this one, this one), Hat (Brixton, old but love this one!), Shoes (Saint Laurent), Purse (Doen)

When August rolls around, I always find my mind drifting towards fall. I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year because while I love fall, I also like the freedom of summer. If you didn’t already know, I am a full-time school counselor in addition to blogging so summer is my favorite time of year. I love having the time to do whatever I want, work on content for my blog, and not have to adhere to any type of schedule. The more summer breaks I experience, the harder it is to go back to reality. This year feels especially hard because I’ve been really challenging myself to focus primarily on blogging and it’s been very rewarding and FUN so not being able to commit 100% of my time to it will be a tough transition.

While we’ve had a pretty warm summer by San Francisco standards, us NorCal residents are gearing up for our “real” summer, which lasts from September all the way through October (and sometimes even November!). So, it’s safe to say that I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to all of my summer dresses yet. This Shop Amelia Styles dress has quickly become one of my favorites this summer. The adorable flower bud print and the quite ruffle tiers not only make this dress unique but the cut makes it so easy to wear and you know how much I love easy. Shop Amelia Styles has so many cute pieces that it’s really hard not to just buy everything in her shop. I love that all of Amelia’s selections are unique but also very on trend. Plus, the price points are so perfect! I love knowing that I’m going to be getting high quality styles for great prices. I mean, who doesn’t like that?!

I hope you all have an amazing Monday!

I SERIOUSLY feel ya!! Balancing school life (I’m an English teacher full time!) and blogging is so hard… makes me so envious of those who can blog full time! (Although I’m sure that comes with its own stresses!)… at school by 7 and home and tired after does not lend itself to outfit shoots… especially when daylight hours are so short!! On another note, if you’re coming to fashion week in sept let me know and we can maybe meet up! Xo

Christine! Yes, girl! You totally get it. It’s so hard to balance both worlds but so rewarding when things come together. I’m getting better at juggling it and I really do have to force myself to go to events on weeknights (not always easy when you’re so tired!) because I always have a great time. I wish I was coming to NYFW but my one year wedding anniversary is right around there so I won’t be making it this time around. Hoping for February! xo!

Hi Margaret! Aw, thank you! It can be a lot at times but I’m getting pretty good at juggling both! 🙂
