I feel like this time of year goes by so fast. With all the holiday parties, the shopping to get done, and just trying to enjoy festiveness with your loved ones, the holiday season is over before we know it. December is usually the perfect time to get fancy whenever you get the chance to, but lately I’ve been feeling the more toned down looks that still scream “HOLIDAY” but that I can actually wear all day without feeling uncomfortable. Like this velvet ensemble above. Would you believe me if I told you that I thought up this outfit literally minutes before I left for a blog shoot? Well, I don’t care if you believe me because that’s REALLY what happened.
I got these velvet overalls during Black Friday and I just love them. They are so easy to wear (they are actually pretty stretchy but still give off a structured feel) and I knew that I’d want to wear them all winter. Since I’m feeling the velvet lately (#BASIC), I decided I was going to be super extra and pair the overalls with my favorite velvet top and my beloved velvet purse (check out Tradey’s website for all the greatest designer picks!) BECAUSE WHY NOT?! Once this shoot was over, I wore this outfit for the rest of the day and loooooved how I felt in it. I felt dressed up but casual at the same time which, let’s be honest, I always strive to achieve. Plus, you can’t really go wrong with triple velvet, amiright?
