Wow, it’s always a trip for me to go back in time here on my own blog but with almost six years of blogging under my belt (SAY WHAT?!), I thought I’d bring you some Valentine’s inspo from the WFB February archives. It’s pretty amazing to see not only how much my style has changed but how much my HAIR has changed over the years. Like wow. The very last picture of me with my beloved old pink J Crew coat and pixie hair cut was the VERY first picture Jonny ever took of me for this blog. We literally stepped outside our apartment building and stood right up against our neighboring building’s purple garage in direct sunlight and were so psyched about how it turned out. If you didn’t know this already, Jonny actually took all of my blog photos (started out on an iPhone 5 or 4, I can’t remember which one, and then graduated to a beginner’s Canon DSLR) for the first three years. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is. Every weekend was dedicated to taking blog photos. EVERY WEEKEND. Looking back on the photos, it makes me laugh to think about what beginners we were and how we would bicker at each other for not knowing how to take the photos we wanted. Thank goodness we finally had the sense to hire a photographer and I haven’t looked back since. However, I am so thankful that Jonny sacrificed so much of his time to help me get my blog off the ground. He’s a good one! Even though my style has changed quite a bit over the years, one thing remains a constant from these past February themed posts. Red and pink are always on vibe for Valentine’s Day.
