Okay, this post has been a long time coming. If you’ve been following along on this pink coat journey of mine, you know that I have been coveting this coat since SUMMER. I remember hanging out with my parents at our Tahoe cabin in August and seeing this beautiful coat on H&M’s website and nearly having a heart attack. I just had this feeling that this coat was meant to be mine. The only problem? It was completely sold out. WHY?! WHYYYYYY?!?!? I was devastated. Little did I know that this coat and I would live happily ever after together in the end. Read my pink faux fur coat story below (originally posted on my Instagram account):
Guys, I want to tell you a little story about this H&M coat. When I first saw this coat, my heart skipped a beat and I knew that it had to be mine even though it was sold it everywhere. I had never owned a pink faux fur jacket before but for some reason this coat felt like it was made just for me. I desperately called H&M’s customer service line looking for this beauty Every. Single. Day, but with no success. This went on for about a month until one day, I saw it on eBay in MY size and selling for an amazing price. I bought it immediately and realized that the seller lived really close to me and we actually met in person for the big coat hand off. Turns out, she was just as obsessed with it as me and had jumped through all the same hoops to get it, too and finally tracked it down to realize that it didn’t really suit her current lifestyle. She was so happy that it was going to me and guys, I was so excited that I almost cried. I worked SO hard to get it and you know what? I don’t regret it at ALL. Every time I put on this coat, I smile because I know it was meant to be with me. This coat story is one of the main reasons why I am hopelessly in love with fashion. Sometimes there are pieces that are meant to be yours and fate makes for damn sure that happens.
