Lately, I have been buying and wearing all black. I know, I know. All black outfits have been adored by women (and men!) for years but I am seriously late to the noir party. I. Am. Obsessed. Don’t get me wrong, I still love color, but it feels like my style is definitely gravitating toward a darker palette lately and I am 100% okay with that. I kind of built this outfit around these new booties that I picked up about a week ago. I had been seriously eyeing them for months and more so after I bought my other pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs studded ankle boots because the fit was incredible. The shiny leather and, the pointed toe, and the lace up front have basically created the most perfect sleek and chic boot. The patent leather is a bit stiffer, as per usual, so I’ve been working on breaking them in. However, even though I am a person that has battle scars from breaking in shoes (I pretty much have to break in every single pair with a blister or two), I found that, while stiff, I wasn’t really in any pain. I did get a bit of rubbing on my heel but that was it and let’s be honest. I would sacrifice a great deal to parade around town in these gorgeous babies. Oh, what we do for style.
