Outfit Details | Dress Worn As Skirt (Anthropologie, on MAJOR sale in stores!), Shirt (J Crew), Blazer (H&M, old), Shoes (J Crew, similar), Sunglasses (Karen Walker), Belt (Kate Spade New York), Lipstick (MAC “Snob”), Necklace (J Crew, love this one).

As you can see, it has been quite windy and rainy in San Francisco over the past week, which made shooting this outfit a touch more difficult than normal (i.e. wind blown skirt). Oh well, you just gotta keep going! I’m sure that you all recognize my “Dream Dress” hiding beneath a blazer and my new favorite t-shirt. I wanted to remix this dress a little bit by showing you all that many of the dresses in your closets can actually be worn as skirts! Let’s be real, the skirt on this dress is a shower stopper in terms of fullness and color, so I just had to try it out as a skirt. Turns out, the experiment paid off! I ended up liking the fresh spin on a dress that I already loved and, more importantly, was already hanging in my closet.

2014 has been already going by so fast. I honestly cannot believe that we are in March already! Lately, I have found myself really looking forward to spring, both the warmth of the season and the fresh fashion styles that it brings (hello, pastels!). Right around the transition time between seasons, I find myself itching for a change in wardrobe, which can be dangerous for an online shopper like me! Does anyone else feel this way?

Thanks for stopping by!

I love that dress! It’s gorgeous, and I love seeing remixes with statement pieces like that. 🙂 I’m with you on wanting a new wardrobe when a new season rolls around. I can’t seem to stop perusing my favorite websites. My attempt at budgeting will be just that…an attempt. Ha!

Hi Kimi!! You are so sweet. Thank you for your words. I have been looking at all of my favorite websites, too and “adding” things to my “carts” and “bags!” It’s becoming a problem! 🙂
