When it comes to pants, I usually purchase pairs that are pretty neutral so that I can pair them with multiple things in my wardrobe. However, when I saw these pants, I wanted to give them a try because they made me feel giddy just by looking at them! The metallic threading is so amazing and it provides a little added oomph to the already beautiful (and unexpected!) lilac color of the pants. This particular J Crew pant style is called the “Cafe Capri.” Typically, the “Cafe Capri” run small on me, especially if they are lined like the pair shown above, so I often take this into consideration and size up. I am usually a “Minnie” style kind of gal (my J Crew gals know what I’m talking about), because I prefer my pants to fit snugly so that there is no dreaded “stretch out” by the end of a day. These pants fit a little looser than I would prefer, but I found that I really liked changing it up a little bit. Also, there is no need to worry about these pants stretching out. I wore them for an entire day (i.e. running around town, driving for an hour in the car, etc.) and found them to be extremely well made and very fun to wear. I even received multiple compliments from complete strangers throughout the day (score!). Most of all, I just love how they shimmer in the sunlight. They are really just gorgeous pants and would be perfect for a night out. I was even thinking that they would make a great addition to a New Years Eve outfit, especially if you don’t want to wear a dress when it’s freezing cold!

Until I found this perfect J Crew jean jacket, I had gone through at least four different styles and brands. When it comes to my jean outerwear, I wanted something that was on the shorter side, but not cropped. I also wanted it to feel soft and worn in, but not distressed. Finally, I wanted it to be the perfect blend of both dark and light jean fabrics. I was lucky enough to score this incredible jean jacket on sale during the summer. I had stalked it online for months, but just couldn’t bring myself to pay full price for it. “I already have two jean jackets,” I told myself, but I could never entirely get it out of my mind. However, when I was able to try it on in the store, I knew that I never wanted to take it off. It is the perfect piece to pair with dresses (both long and short), pants, and skirts. Plus, the color is beyond perfection. J Crew has a few jean jackets that are currently on sale (+ and additional 40% off!) so if you have been looking for your perfect jean jacket, I encourage you to check out their selection.

On this Christmas Eve Eve (hehe), I hope that you are all finished with your holiday shopping and if you aren’t, that you are finding everything that you need so that you can enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. How amazing is that house?! This is by far my favorite house in San Francisco during the month of December. The people that live there decorate their house like this every single year and it is the most amazing thing ever! It honestly made me jump up and down with joy the first time I saw it. If you live in SF, it is located on Castro street right before it turns into Divisadero.
