Is anyone else out there in a wardrobe rut? Over the past month or so, I have found myself staring blankly at my very full closet with no desire to wear anything that I already own. This typically happens to me when the seasons begin to change and there are so many things that I want to buy but so little money to buy said things. I’m so used to wearing one season’s go-to’s that nothing else seems to look good yet I am so sick of wearing the same pair of pants, shoes, or sweater day after day. Don’t get me wrong. If I had a million dollars I would be buying everything in sight carefully thinking about what investment items to buy so that I could have them forever (Hi Mom! Hi Dad!).

Usually when I get into these wardrobe ruts, I find that I am missing one particular thing from my wardrobe. For example, right now, I feel like I only need tops for spring and summer, but I can’t stop buying pants or skirts. However, I did stumble upon this J Crew sweater in my local retail store last week and fell head over heels for the vibrant color. This style of sweater, known to all J Crew addicts as the “Tippi” sweater, is such a staple in my wardrobe. Even when I’m in a rut, I always find myself coming back to my Tippi’s because they are so easy to throw on and look great with everything. While I’m still in a fashion rut, I’m glad that I have a few reliable pieces that can carry me until I get my groove back.

Thanks for reading, lovelies.
