I live in San Francisco, one of (okay, it’s THE) best city in the world. While I love city life (amazing restaurants within blocks of where I live, an amazing neighborhood, always something new to try/explore, etc.), it’s still the city. What I mean by that is there really isn’t a ton of nature within walking distance from where I live. Now, I’m lucky in the sense that SF is more “nature friendly” than most major metropolitan cities, but I still find myself craving blue skies, mountain ranges, and grassy knolls to lay on and watch the clouds roll by. Luckily, my parents live right outside of San Francisco and have amazing access to the glorious outdoors! Since my parents have lived in the same house since I was born, our backyard has always led me to glorious make-believe adventures with my sister, crystal hunting post rain with my neighbors, and generally just playing outdoors until our parents forced us to come in for dinner. Our backyard (basically everything you see pictured in this post) was our doorway to imagination and a lifelong relationship with nature.

Even as a fashion blogger, I am still drawn to the great outdoors. Now, when you own a beautiful statement gown, you gotta make excuses to wear it. When we shot this dress, I wasn’t going anywhere in particular, but I had not yet worn it and I wanted to show it off! I thought the golden grass and the picturesque backdrop would be the perfect place to photograph such an ethereal and unique dress. I honestly felt like a runaway princess that was frolicking in the backyard of her kingdom! This was such a surreal experience because I’m sure we played a few (or a hundred) pretend games with this exact scenario.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for letting me share little bits and pieces of myself on this blog! I love you all and very much appreciate your support. Have a great weekend and see on on Monday!

Xo,

Tamryn

The magic here is this gorgeous dress and how you look in it! A fantastic outfit. The only thing missing is the castle. Your “knight” is behind the camera. (Well done Jonny. Great shots). Beautiful blog!
