One of the things I love about having my own style blog is finding awesome areas to shoot photos in. Jonny and I were on our way to dinner in Marin (across the Golden Gate Bridge) when we spotted the Palace of Fine Arts. In an attempt to be spontaneous (it is way easier to shoot pictures in our own neighborhood!), we decided to quickly pull over and shoot in front of this amazing part of SF. For January, we have been experiencing record warm temps around the Bay Area, so the timing was perfect! The sun was just about to set and the Palace of Fine Arts was showing off how beautiful she is at dusk.

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard that Marsala has been named Pantone’s color of the year for 2015. I, for one, am embracing this trend because Marsala (aka burgundy, wine, Bordeaux, etc.) is actually one of my favorite colors. So, to celebrate, I decided to dress myself in Marsala from head to…bag! You can see that my top is still a bit creased from it’s journey to my closet, but that’s just a bit of reality featured on the blog today. Sometimes, when you want to wear your new top right away, you don’t always have the time (or patience!) to steam out creases and wrinkles, especially when a photo shoot is as spontaneous as this one.

Thanks for reading!
