It’s probably no surprise that I love to shop, and that statement is an understatement. There is a high-like feeling that comes with finding the perfect item when you physically go out to shop. I love online shopping, too, but going into the stores, seeing and feeling all the different textures, and trying on garments in beautiful dressing rooms are just a few of the perks of perusing your local mall. Luckily, the Bay Area is stock full of beautiful malls that house my favorite stores.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I just bought a new car last weekend. It’s a 2015 Toyota Prius and I am totally in love with it. Jonny and I took it out for a mini road trip and drove down to Stanford Mall in Palo Alto, which is where we ended up shooting these pictures. Even though I felt a little shy (Jonny would say “on edge”), it was really fun changing it up a bit. Stanford Mall is one of my favorite places to shop because it’s all outdoors and the shops are so beautiful. My sister and I always joke that when we shop at Stanford Mall, it feels like you’re on vacation because it just feels different from all the other malls on the Peninsula.

This beautiful FAUX (can you believe it?!) fur coat is the star of today’s post and it’s not really hard to see why. I have been wearing it all weekend and, to tell you the truth, I don’t really plan on stopping. It’s very light weight yet extremely warm and I love how the bottom half resembles feathers! I bought this coat on sale at Shopbop (link above) but if you are thinking about buying it, I would hurry! It’s almost sold out!
