I don’t know about you, but I am already counting down the days until I can break out my fall appropriate clothing again. As much as I love summer with it’s warm nights (which provide a great excuse for ridiculous amounts of froyo), long days, and pool side lounging, I can’t help but begin to grow excited for colder temps, especially since fall is my favorite style season. It must be something about fond memories of back-to-school shopping with my mom, sister, and grandma. My sister and I used to endlessly talk and contemplate what we were going to get so that we could strategically budget our pre-set limit. It was so fun dreaming of new beginnings (i.e. a new school year) and looking amazing in all the latest trends for that year.
Alas, my adult life is not too different. I absolutely love shopping for new clothes (duh) and the anticipation of fall season (Vogue September issue, I’m looking at you!) makes it the most exciting season to shop for. Thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I have already nabbed a few fall items and I know that it’s going to kill me to have to wait until November or December to wear them (thanks, Bay Area Indian summer). It may be hard to wait, but I’ll be glad I started my fall wardrobe shopping early when the time comes! Today’s outfit is as close I can get to fall dressing without giving myself heatstroke. Luckily, San Francisco is a tad cooler than most cities in the summer so I can get away with wearing more layers throughout the warmer months.
Thanks for stopping by!
