When I finally made the decision to go to NYFW in the middle of winter, I knew I was going to need to bring some warm statement pieces that I not only felt fabulous in but that also kept me warm. I remember drooling over this Tory Burch shearling jacket when it came down the runway last year and I could not get it out of my mind. However, there was no way I could spend $1600 on a jacket, no matter how fab it was. However, when I booked my ticket to NY, I decided to check on this coat since I knew it would be the perfect addition to any NYFW outfit. To my surprise, it was on sale for more than 60% off but I still couldn’t pull the trigger. However, eBay ended up coming through for me and I bought it at a price that I was comfortable paying. When it came, I nearly screamed out loud because it’s THAT beautiful. When I wore this piece during NYFW, I received so many compliments on it and rightfully so. This jacket is a piece of art. I knew that I wanted to pair it with one of my “prairie chic” looks and this Ulla Johnson set basically made this dream outfit of mine come to life.
Okay, you’re probably wondering why I haven’t brought up this Chanel beauty that is swinging around on my arm. I am planning on dedicating an entire blog post to this Wannabe Fashion Blogger x Portero Luxury collaboration, but for now, you need to know how much love I have for this company. If you are looking for vintage luxury items like this Chanel brooch and incredible sequin Chanel bag that I am sporting, Portero Luxury is the place for you. I actually visit this site quite often because their collection of vintage Chanel is the best I’ve seen because they curate the most beautiful pieces. When I picked this piece, I knew it would a show-stopper addition to many of my NYFW outfits and I was right. I can’t tell you how many people asked me about this bag. The unique sequin placement, the beautiful blush color, and the silver hard wear make this purse such a stand out piece and I am obsessed with it! More to come later this week!
