Happy Friday, all! I am officially back from NYFW and while the jet lag struggle has been oh so real, I am happy to be home. I am planning on writing an entire post dedicated to my trip to NYFW, but for now, I just wanted to share with you one of the first outfits I had planned specifically for this special trip. Of course you all know how much I have been obsessed with this Ulla Johnson velvet dress so I knew I had to bring it to NYC and style an outfit around it. What I love most about this dress is that it can easily be dressed up or down depending on your mood. For NYFW, I knew I wanted to create an edgier look with this dress so I paired it with this incredible purple shearling jacket and my go-to Marc Jacobs motorcycle booties. The shearling jacket was actually a very last minute addition to my NYFW looks and I literally received it the day before I left. For some reason, I just knew it was going to be amazing with this velvet dress because I am currently loving mixing purple shades together.
I wore this outfit to a fun day filled with an amazing brunch hosted by Twiirly and Amour Vert. I’ll go into more details about this event in a later post, but it was so fun and the best way to start an insane day of shows and presentations.
