Power Suit

I am always looking for ways to dress outside the box so that I can hopefully inspire you all to do the same. One of the reasons I started Wannabe Fashion Blogger was to showcase how my style is ever-evolving and that I really love to try new styles based not only on what’s currently trendy, but what truly speaks to me as a person. For today’s blog post, I have teamed up with River Island to showcase a bold new look for you guys. It’s not a secret that I have been loving the power suit trend that has basically taken over the past style year. I’ve always been obsessed with blazers, but the matching pants are new territory for me…and I’m LOVING the combo. Lately, I find I feel most confident when I am wearing a matching set. There is something so fresh and trendy about this look that it makes me feel like I can take on the world! But this isn’t just any old pantsuit. I love the bold stripes of pink and white mixed with the gray plaid, aka you can totally get away with wearing this suit to work and then wearing it out to happy hour with your friends without compromising your kick ass style. The bow detail on the pants also helps elevate the entire look to feel modern and edgy, which are two things I am often look for when adding pieces to my wardrobe.
