The holiday season is upon us! This means hot cocoa, Christmas lights, cool nights, clear days, and, above all, sequins!!! Of course, you can wear sequins all year (I do!), but this time of the year just makes them seem even more appealing. The sequin blazer that I am wearing for this post was given to me as a gift from my wonderful parents. I love that the slightly pointed shoulders of this blazer are very structured while the rest of the blazer is more flowy, like a long cardigan. This makes it a very easy piece to dress up or dress down, depending on the occasion you need it for. Here, I paired the blazer with my favorite graphic tee and new(ish) Marisa Plaid Ankle Pants from Ann Taylor LOFT.
Now, let me take a second to rave about these pants. Plaid is everywhere this season (perfect for the holidays) and Ann Taylor LOFT really knocked this trend out of the park with these pants. I have never really been one to shop at Ann Taylor LOFT, but when I started hearing about their “perfect fitting pants,” I knew I had to find out more. Ann Taylor LOFT design researchers spent over two years interviewing women about what they want and need from their pants. Seriously, two years! Personally, I always find that pants never fit me in exactly the way I would want them to fit. For example, the waist might be too big but the thigh area is perfect or the length is too short but they sit perfectly on my waist. Ladies, let me tell you, these pants are AMAZING! Ann Taylor LOFT really took the time to research how women want their pants to fit and it showed immediately after I shimmied into these in the fitting room. Not only does my butt look amazing do they fit perfectly, but the plaid wool material is so soft. Best of all? They are completely lined!
