Yes, I’m wearing shorts. SHORTS! I never wear shorts! A lot of you probably shook your head in disbelief when you read that but I’m serious. I never wear shorts because I hate how I look in them. I’m all for body positivity and accepting your body for what it is but it is really hard for me to “accept” certain parts of my body. I work out really hard to stay healthy and to keep my body in shape and while I’ve come to the realization that I am not going to have thin anything, looking good in my clothes still drives my work outs (just being honest!). With that said, I have never liked how I looked in shorts. I felt like they never sat high enough on my waist (high waisted or NOTHING is now my motto) and pairs that I tried on were always either too short or too long OR too tight in the thigh and butt. I pretty much just came to the understanding that shorts and I were never going to work. However, when Jonny and I decided that we wanted to go to Austin this summer, I knew that I really needed to buy a pair because it was going to be really hot. I did a lot of research and finally decided to take a chance on this Rag and Bone pair. Well, that chance turned out to be one of my favorite style risks I’ve ever taken because they fit like a DREAM. I loved the high waist fit and the slightly inverted hemline is perfect for those with more ample thighs and a big booty (the outer ends are actually cut a little higher than the inner thigh ends making for a really flattering fit). I also went up two sizes so they do run a little large on me but nothing haunts my fashion dreams more than skin tight shorts. Never flattering on anyone, amiright? Anyway, yes, these shorts are a splurge but they are literally my only pair and really the only ones that I want to wear. Worth it!

Thanks for reading, friends!
