The Magic Of Park Winters

The beautiful barn and elegant seating area.

Sarah and I enjoying the BEAUTIFUL salt water pool. There’s even a hot tub and fire pit behind us!

Probably the chicest pool furniture I’ve ever seen.

Enjoy views of the mansion water tower (you can stay overnight in it!) while you take a dip!

The most delicious homemade strawberry yogurt.

Park Winters never skimps on food presentation so everything is almost (ALMOST) looks too pretty to eat.

This Alice and Wonderland door that leads you into the pool area is beyond dreamy.

The Chicken Palace houses so many cute chickies and provides fresh eggs for all the food that Park Winters serves their guests.

The elegant country details are everywhere! Loved this vintage truck.

Park Winters had these sketched maps of their estate made for guests that stay here! Adorable!

Always smiling with this girl, especially when there is delicious cake to be eaten!

Always love staying in The Fountain Room. The light is so beautiful!

Probably the chicest bathroom I’ve ever reapplied my lipstick in. This is also located in The Fountain Room.

Sarah being all gorgeous and stuff (love her!).

My girls, Shannon and Sarah in the adorable parlor located off the kitchen.

The incredibly hospitable and sweet owners, Rafael (left) and John (right).

When I think of Park Winters, the first word that pops into my mind in “magical.” This word may evoke cheesy thoughts of your favorite childhood Disney movies where the princess always lands her prince charming, but trust me, Park Winters lives up to the word. A few weeks ago, two of my closet girlfriends (Sarah from Sassy Red Lipstick and Shannon of Shandru Photography) and I were able to experience the full magic of this incredible estate

But first, a little back story about my relationship with Park Winters. When Jonny and I were on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue, I stumbled upon a small thumbnail photo featuring the most gorgeous mansion on page, like, one thousand of a wedding venue search on The Knot. We knew exactly what we wanted. An outdoor space with a home on the property that our family could stay in during our wedding weekend. We wanted chic, simple, elegant, and timeless and when I saw that tiny thumbnail photo of Park Winters, I just had a feeling this was “the one.” Long story short, Jonny, my parents, and I drove out to check out this seemingly perfect venue and I knew INSTANTLY that this was where I wanted to get married. From the friendly staff to the breath-taking grounds, Park Winters became our perfect wedding venue and we never once regretted our decision to tie the knot here. Fun fact, we only looked at one venue (this one!) and never even thought about looking at another one because it was that stunning.

Fast forward to today, I’ve become very friendly with the two owners, John and Rafael (they are the sweetest!). Their creative vision and impeccable taste turned this historical landmark into the chicest destination ever. From the salt water (!!!) pool to the incredible food, Park Winters will make you feel at home right away, and when I say “home” what I mean is that the Park Winters staff will make sure that you are living in the laps of luxury for the entire duration of your stay. Coffee service by the pool, plated breakfasts/lunches/dinners made by their world class chefs (honestly some of the best food you’ve ever tasted!), and the most elegant grounds for you to stroll through.

Complete with their own Chicken Palace made from all reclaimed materials (I got to hold a chicken and it was surprisingly cute and cuddly!) and their stunning rooms (no, seriously, their rooms are STUNNING), Park Winters has completely changed the way most people think about country elegance. Hosting multiple course dinners in their modern barn, which has it’s own beautifully staged seating area, and their farm-to-table garden makes you feel like you’ve fully escaped the busy city life in the best possible way. Not one square inch of the property is overlooked as John and Rafael are very attuned to all the details. From the beautiful doorknobs to the classiest bottle of water on each bedside table, Park Winters is the ultimate destination.

If you want to experience Park Winters for yourself, you don’t have to plan a wedding to hang out here.

We have done a fair amount of traveling and I would tell people that this location rivals anything that we’ve experienced. The beauty of the grounds, the care and meticulous restoration of this wonderful Victorian house, the absolutely amazing food, the total commitment of the incredible staff, the amazing owners, this is truly a treasure and a destination. We attended our granddaughter’s wedding, staying two nights, and it felt like we were in wonderland. Would love to return for a “weekend retreat”. Would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone, for any type of event. It is truly “Magical!”

Amazing!! There is a place like this in WINTERS, CA?? That you found?? Rockstar.

We’ve been looking for a summer getaway that’s not on the usual beaten path an hour or two from the Bay Area…I think we just found it.

    Nice work!

    XO,

    Catherine
