Staycation Style: Round 2.

Day Two: California Academy of Sciences and The Music Concourse.

I often experience overwhelming feelings of gratitude that I live in such an amazing city like San Francisco. However, there are some places that are just so breathtaking that it feels like you’re experiencing the city for the first time all over again. Our second staycation destination was no exception.

The California Academy of Sciences is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike and it’s not hard to see why. Not only is the California Academy of Sciences located in the historic and beautiful Golden Gate Park, but the Music Concourse (complete with an amazing amphitheater) is nestled right next door.

Before we headed into the California Academy of Sciences, we decided to seize the opportunity and use the beautiful Music Concourse as our backdrop. Standing among the tall pillars and taking in the beautiful architecture are enough to make anyone fall in love with this unique city.

We had an amazing time exploring the California Academy of Sciences, especially since it was Jonny’s first time. My absolute favorite spot was and always will be the dimly lit aquarium. Witnessing ocean life up close (I’m an ocean-phobe so I will probably never scuba dive) is always such an amazing experience. Not only is it peaceful but it’s so interesting to learn about various types of ocean life. Okay, the enclosed rainforest was also totally awesome.
