Staycation Style: Round 1.

Day One:

The Embarcadero, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, and North Beach.

As many of you know, Jonny and I have been on vacation for the past week. Well, actually, we’ve been on a “staycation” and we are loving every minute of it. We hardly ever get to explore the amazing city that we live in at a leisurely pace since we are usually commuting to and from work with trying to avoid traffic (spoiler alert: it’s impossible), busy with family and friends, or we just stick to our usual spots in our own neighborhood. For this week’s blog posts, I will be showcasing some of my staycation adventures!

For our first adventure day, we decided to mosey down to the Embarcadero and walk from the Ferry Building to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Warf. Are these spots typically huge tourist traps? Sure. But we never ever get to explore these fun areas and it was such a blast to hang out amongst the tourists. I had to constantly keep myself from saying “don’t you just love it here?!” because we pretty much chose the most perfect day to walk around the wharf.

We took these pictures off of the Embarcadero, which is a must stop spot when you are in San Francisco. Not only is the view absolutely stunning, but there are so many cute shops and paths to walk alongside the bay.

After we took these pictures, we literally walked for seven straight hours. We were just having so much fun talking, laughing, and exploring places that we never go to that we just kept on walking all afternoon.

I wish we had taken some pictures on Pier 39, but we were just too distracted by the amazing soft serve ice cream and the cutest pack of sea lions sunning on the dock. Hey, sometimes it’s better to just be present, right?
