While most other cities are starting to enjoy their warm nights, San Francisco remains in the fog. Sigh. San Francisco’s city beauty never ceases to amaze me, but c’mon, SF! We want warm days and warm nights! Last weekend, I had the opportunity to spend some amazing quality time with my good friend Caitlin and help her transition to a new town (central California) with her husband. Okay, while I had a hard time dealing with the 106* days, I LOVED the warm nights that were just made for walking around the neighborhood with ice cream in hand (yes, we did that). It was so nice to not have to worry about changing into jeans, not worrying about carrying a jacket everywhere I went, and that I did not have to deal with the wind (not even once!). Can I sigh again? Sigh.

Well, San Francisco may be a cold summer city, but I still love her. One thing I do love about cooler summer weather is that I can still layer. Woohoo! Gotta find the silver linings right? This is an outfit that I have nicknamed my “Classic J Crew Outfit.” From the layering of the crisp, white button down shirt over the ladylike dress to the striped heels and belted jacket, I believe that this outfit epitomizes J Crew style. This is an outfit (and those like it) that I find myself reaching for pretty often because it’s easy and it always looks pulled together. Hey, we all have our regulars, right?
