San Francisco is finally getting rain, which is our equivalent of snow (sorry, everyone else)! It’s always exciting when the rainy season hits because it’s just another excuse to stomp around in rain puddles in my Hunter Boots and dress in layers. We actually caught a break in the rain and were able to snap a few (partly sunny) pictures for today’s blog post.

If you haven’t noticed, I seem to be favoring reds lately, particularly of the plaid variety. I am always inspired by classic holiday patterns so I find that I tend to dress for the holiday season during the month of December, especially since I find plaid a little less fun once January hits. Wear it while you can, people!

I love mixing patterns so wearing a striped sweater with a tartan pencil skirt feels natural to me. Honestly, I think you can wear stripes with anything and it will always look great. I may be biased because I’m obsessed with stripes, but a striped top is something that will never go out of style.

Stay dry to my fellow Cali people and stay warm to everyone else. Thanks for stopping by!

I am not a “mix the patterns” kind of gal, but I do find this outfit very attractive. A great winter outfit! Luv the plaid.
