Outfit Details | Coat (Piperlime, love this one), Dress (BCBG, similar), Top (J Crew, similar), Bow Tie (ASOS), Metallic Oxfords (J Crew), Sunglasses (Karen Walker, almost identical), Purse (Rebecca Minkoff), Lipstick (MAC “Snob”), Camera (Samsung NX300).

Blush must be the most flattering color there is. It’s feminine without feeling over the top and it always looks sophisticated. I borrowed the gorgeous BCBG lace dress from my sister (can I get an “amen!” for sisters and their awesome closets?) after I saw how beautiful it looked on her. I thought it would be perfect for a little Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration for you all and it actually inspired me to buy this dress for myself! I scoured the internet to find this dress (it’s from last spring) and finally found it on Poshmark and was so happy with my transaction. It was super easy to use and the seller’s are much more in touch with their potential buyers than eBay. I highly recommend it if you are looking for one of those special pieces that is no longer for sale.

Jonny and I have been trying to stretch ourselves by taking pictures in new locations and I really wanted to try out a blog shoot on the busiest street in our neighborhood, 24th street. This flower shop lives in my neighborhood (Noe Valley) and is just the cutest. I knew I wanted this as my background, but I was nervous because I would have to shoot on a busy street in front of lots of people (eek!). I usually don’t like drawing attention to myself in a major way, so this was way outside my comfort zone. I am really proud of myself for trying something new and I really love the results! Poor Jonny had to dodge in and out of people a thousand times but never complained. I’m one lucky girl!

On another note, it’s FRIDAY!!!!! Have a great weekend, friends!

Cutest outfit ever! You are adorable. I love blush tones. I have a top that is almost identical to your dress.

I am inspired to eventually branch out and take photos in more public places, but for right now I am content staying under the radar. When people do walk by, my husband and I wait until they are no longer around to keep shooting. Lol!

I love this outfit and this shoot makes me miss Noe (I lived there for years; now I’m a Castro resident). Great work!
