The perfect jumpsuit. I’ll be honest. I’ve uttered these words before. However, it seemed as if once I said those words out loud, I would find some sort of issue with the fit or look of it. Now, I am a superstitious person, but c’mon, almost every jumpsuit that I fell in love with somehow did not stand the test of time simply because I exclaimed “THIS is the perfect jumpsuit.” Either the length was a touch short (I thought, “I won’t even notice it.” Spoiler: I did indeed notice it and fixated on it), or the fit was off (i.e. it wasn’t stretchy enough or I thought I could “live” with the fact that I had to contort into a million uncomfortable positions to get in and out of it. Not fun.).
Enter this Ann Taylor jumpsuit. I saw it with my sister in store awhile back, I think before summer. We both fell in love. Of course, I loved that it was black, but the material was fantastic and the simple but chic accents of the top part were perfect. Usually, I don’t go for spaghetti straps, but guys, this jumpsuit had me hook, line, and sinker. I didn’t end up buying it right away (self-control!), and a few weeks ago, I found it in a store on super sale. Once I tried it on, I knew I had to take it home with me. Not only is it long enough, but it is super flattering and I feel really good in it. I’m talking take-on-the-world good.
