Think Pink

Pink has been on major repeat for me lately. While I’ve always loved the color, I am pretty picky when it comes to which shades of pink I am willing to incorporate into my wardrobe. I’m sure it sounds weird to hear that I only buy certain shades of pink but I just know what I like and what I will actually wear. Millennial Pink, aka the most gorgeous shade of light pink that you’ve ever seen, has been huge this year and I have been completely enamored with it for the past year. I’ve always been drawn to this shade of pink but now that it’s everywhere, more designers are coming up with fantastic new ways to wear it, which  means I can add more pieces to my pink clothes rotation. Score!
While this blazer isn’t Millennial Pink, I would call it more of a bubblegum pink with a side of edge, it still called to me. When I first saw this blazer, I stared at it for a long time. I knew that I loved it and Ganni has become one of my favorite designers in the past few months so it kind of seemed like a done deal for me, especially since I own the exact same Ganni blazer in black and gray wool plaid and it’s my favorite jacket. I had this strange feeling that this blazer was going to be an “it” item for spring and summer, especially since Ganni made the most perfect matching pair of trousers to go with it. A pink pinstriped suit?? I mean, I kinda had to, right? Turns out I was right and now the blazer and pants are sold out pretty much everywhere. I’ve seen a few big time bloggers wearing the pieces and in my mind I thought, “yes! I am SO on trend.” I actually purchased the blazer first and then bought the trousers a couple of weeks later because I just had to have them. I probably should’ve just bought them when I bought the blazer but holiday shopping had made a pretty large dent in my budget sooooo yeah. All I can say is that I am SO glad I ended up buying both pieces. Be on the lookout for a full pink pinstripe suit coming to a blog near you!
Have a great weekend, friends!
