Outfit Details | Romper (Leifsdottir via Anthropologie, old but love this one), Shoes (Frye, on sale!), Sunglasses (Karen Walker), Jacket (J Crew, similar), Overnight Bag (Kate Spade Saturday), Lipstick (MAC “Rebel”).

When rompers and jumpsuits first started making a comeback a couple of years ago, I brushed off the trend thinking that I could never pull it off for a couple of reasons: I hated showing my legs (hello, creamy-never-tanned-skin!) and shorts never seemed to be my friend (hello, constant thigh ride up!). Luckily, I have moved past that line of thinking and have fully embraced jumpsuits and rompers, both of which currently reside in my current wardrobe rotation. Ever since I began to take more fashion risks, I’ve realized that the fear of a particular item not looking “good” on me was keeping me from even trying it on! In my ripe ol’ age of 28, I now realize that you won’t know if something will look “good” or not until you try it on, which is exactly what happened with this romper. I loved the print so I marched right on in to the dressing room, tried it on, and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it.

Now, I am still hesitant to show full leg because my skin doesn’t seem to tan well, which is something that I can now say that I somewhat embrace, and I do find myself tugging at the bottoms of my shorts more often than I would like to admit, but this romper seems to circumvent those issues. Not only is the print gorgeous, but the shorts themselves are very comfortable and forgiving. Also, being a tall gal, I don’t find that these shorts ride up to uncomfortable heights, which is such a relief. Most importantly, I just feel good wearing it.

Usually, it is rare to have shorts weather here in San Francisco. However, there are a handful of days a year where I can actually wear shorts and not freeze. This past weekend, I had two of those beautiful days. Score!

Thanks for reading!

Your legs r lovely. When I was younger I didn’t like my body. Now that I am older and look back at pictures I say wow look how great I looked. I wish I had known. Love your young body.
