Outfit Details | Vest (Michael Kors, similar), Top (J Crew), Skirt (J Crew), Shoes (J Crew, similar), Lipstick (MAC Heroine), Sunglasses (Karen Walker).

Faux fur, as many of you know, is one of my favorite things to wear during the winter time. It took me quite a while to feel okay with wearing something that made such a statement, but I’ve gradually grown more comfortable, especially when it comes to faux fur. This vest was my very first faux fur and Michael Kors purchase and, I have to say, I could not be more happier with it! I bought this piece a little over a year ago and knew that this was exactly the type of faux fur vest that I had been wanting. The quality on this vest is amazing and I really like that it looks like real fur. I tend to prefer faux fur that has a variety of subtle color ranges over faux fur pieces that are all one shade, and this vest definitely has a range of browns and golds that read high quality.

Since the vest is pretty thick, I thought that I would belt it with my new favorite Kate Spade Bow Belt just like how I belted my Banana Republic Faux Fur Pullover in a previous post. Since this vest does not have much shape, adding the belt helps to create and define my waist amongst the fur. Also, I wanted to keep the bottom half of the outfit pretty slim to balance the heavier top half. This J Crew pencil skirt does a great job slimming everything from the waist down without looking too tight. Finally, I wanted to wear my favorite J Crew chambray shirt because the denim helps add a casual look to the rest of the outfit.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I’m so devastated by the 49ers loss yesterday. Here’s to next year, boys!
