I’ve always had this love/hate relationship with summer dressing. I have to admit, I am a fall/winter style lover. I adore layers, textured coats, and boots. I mean, I live in San Francisco so technically I can wear these things year round, but in the summer, I always feel the need to lighten up my style choices a bit. However, with the summer weather comes my insecurity with how to appropriately dress during the warmer months. I usually count down the days until I can bust out my winter coats again, but this year, I’m having a total love affair with summer. I mean, I literally can’t stop myself from buying and wearing light and airy pieces that are just made for lounging in the sun (well, in my case lounging in the shade because sun damage). I think that I owe a large part of this to our recent trip to Austin and while it was super hot there, I really liked frolicking around in all my summer pieces. Can you blame me? Pieces like this top and pants outfit have been on repeat for the past month and a half because not only is it super comfy, but I feel so damn chic walking around the city in my super flow high waisted pants (a tall girl’s DREAM). Basically, what I’m trying to say is that I am finally embracing summer weather even though in SF, that means having a jacket on hands at all times.

Happy weekend, friends!
