Before I left for NYFW, I was freaking out daily because I was really stressed about my outfits. As a Type A – Control Freak, NYFW is like one big stress ball for me when it comes to what I’m going to wear. If it hasn’t been made clear to you already, I freaking love shopping. I love buying clothes, styling pieces, and putting outfits together. However, NYFW does this weird thing to my brain and tricks me into thinking that I have terrible taste and nothing I ever pick is good enough. Also, weather in NYC is often unpredictable in September (sometimes it’s really hot and humid and other times it’s perfect) so that was throwing me through a loop, too. I should add that I wanted every piece to feel like “me” and because my personal style is very important to me. I like to wear different pieces from everyone else and not blend in. A week or so before our trip, I had scanned through a bunch of my favorite websites to find items that were NYFW material and stumbled across this dress. I was instantly in love with it. The cut, the different check patterns, and the fact that it just screamed “FALL!” had me hook, line, and sinker. I had to have it. Honestly, every time I look at it I smile, which really solidifies that I made the right decision. Can’t you just seem me wearing this all fall and winter?! I sure can.
