Hello. I am a J Crew addict. Is almost this entire outfit from J Crew? Yes. Am I embarrassed? Heck no! The J Crew catalogue and wonderful in-store stylists taught me how to layer and it is now a skill that I can proudly say I have (almost) mastered. Never in a million years did I think I would be layering a jacket over a vest over a sweater over a shirt, but you know what? Not only does it keep me warm, but it all looks amazing together.
There is nothing I love more than a great cashmere sweater. This neon J Crew sweater is probably my favorite sweater that I own. The color is everything and it fits me perfectly. Layered underneath one of my newest fall wardrobe items, my J Crew Factory Herringbone Vest (!!!), the sweater really pops against the black, white, and gold elements seen within the rest of the outfit. I was lucky enough to snag this highly pursued vest when I saw it pop up on J Crew Factory’s website. I did see quite a few Herringbone vests when I was perusing eBay, but the prices were ridiculously high. However, if you are feeling “splurgy,” I would definitely recommend this vest. It literally goes with EVERYTHING and it really is the perfect layering piece. I paired mine with my beloved J Crew Field Jacket and favorite J Crew Minnie Bi-Stretch Wool Minnie Pants, both of which are reliable workhorses in my wardrobe.
Also, d’orsay flats seem to be making quite a splash lately. I scooped up my black ones from Zara a couple of months ago and absolutely love them. They are so amazing that I even bought them in red. Think you may be interested in a pair of d’orsay flats? Some of my favorites that I’ve seen are these, these, and these.
Thanks for stopping by!
