Outfit Details | Jacket (Anthropologie, on sale!), T-shirt (J Crew), Jeans (J Brand), Ankle Boots (Zara, in stores), Necklace (J Crew, old), Lipstick (MAC “Ruby Woo”), Purse (Coach, no longer available), Sunglasses (Karen Walker).

This jacket. This metallic faux fur jacket. I think I’m in love. When I first saw this jacket on Anthropologie’s website, I knew that I would eventually have to add it to my closet but I did not want to pay full price for it. I ended up waiting, very patiently I might add, for it to go on sale and when it did, I waited some more. I have discovered that Anthropologie will start to mark down sale items even further if they are not selling or if they need to make room for new merchandise. Unfortunately, I waited too long and the jacket sold out online and I couldn’t find it in any stores. However, one day, I was perusing my local Anthro when I saw it. MY metallic faux fur jacket in MY size. Oh yeah, and it was marked down even further than the online price! Score! I was soooo excited that I’m pretty sure I ran to the dressing room to try it on. Well, the rest is history and I am now this beautiful jacket’s proud owner. Isn’t it just gorgeous? I’ve never seen anything else quite like it. The material is so soft and it almost looks like you’re wearing thousands of little feathers instead of faux fur.

The best part of this jacket is that it can dress up a more casual outfit like the one above. Speaking of which, lovely followers, meet my favorite boyfriend jeans! When the boyfriend jeans fad hit a little over a year ago, I never thought that I would like the look of them on me. I have a rather ample derrière that usually looks better in snugger pants and jeans. However, I loved the look of boyfriend jeans, especially when paired with something a little more fancy. The juxtaposition of the two styles intrigued me so I began my hunt for the perfect pair! The boyfriend jeans that I tried on, and a tried on a lot, never looks like boyfriend jeans because they fit too snuggly. If I went up a size, they were way too large. I finally found this super discounted pair of J Brand Aidan Slouchy Jeans at Anthropolgie and decided to give them a whirl. They. Fit. Perfectly. I loved the looser look and the dark denim color was to die for. Oh, and that distressed knee? Yeah, I was sold. It did take awhile for me to get used to the looser fit, but once I did I ended up really liking the change.

Thanks for reading!
